on April 29, Christian DonJuan and Seth Mason committed and signed with the Army National Guard ROTC program at Kansas State University.
The Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) program is a college-based, officer commissioning program designed to train students to become U.S. Army officers while completing their college education. Participants in the program take ROTC courses alongside their regular academic subjects and engage in physical training and leadership development activities. The responsibilities of ROTC cadets include attending regular training sessions and summer training programs, maintaining academic and physical fitness standards, and upholding military discipline. In return, the ROTC program offers several benefits, including the opportunity to develop leadership and management skills, potential scholarships that cover tuition and educational fees, and a guaranteed career path as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army upon graduation. This program not only provides a means to serve the country but also instills a strong sense of discipline, duty, and ethical conduct in its cadets.
We thank these two young men for their commitment to serving our country and wish them the best as they enter college, boot camp, and eventually service.
Other members of the Class of 2024 who have committed directly to the military or ROTC programs are:
Tab Robbins - United States Air Force
Griffin Heger - Air Force ROTC, Kansas State University
